Wild Facts: Rolling Salamander

The Mount Lyell salamander  curls its head under its back legs, wraps its tail along its body, and tucks its legs in… then rolls downhill to get away from predators. Sounds a lot like the mythical hoop snake  !  Watch the video (from BBC’s Weird Nature) of the rolling salamanders below. Through by brief research for this post, I discovered Wikipedia actually has a “fearsome critters” page!
